1957 Oahu (Valco made) Lap Steel with Original Case

Vintage 1957 Oahu (Valco made) lap steel in excellent condition. Serial number X63467
It retains the original case (which itself is rare)
I’ve left the fret marker tape on the top from when I was using it. 😊 You can get lost with 36 frets! It’s a paper masking tape that can easily be removed without marking the top or leaving a sticky residue. Use it or lose it!
The see through red finish is in excellent condition as are the fretboard and deluxe Kluson tuners. 
The lap steel has a felt like backing underneath…probably to prevent it sliding around on peoples laps. It too is in excellent shape for a 66 year old instrument.
Sounds and plays great and the original horseshoe pickup sounds glorious. This is a nice sounding lap steel. The old Valco pickups are favourites for a lot of players.
You may never see another one with this super cool snake skin case. The case is functional and in reasonable condition and retains its original latches
The original electronics are untouched (no mods or repairs). 
This little guitar is ready to be played at home, or hit the stage or studio.
