1983 Greco Les Paul Mint Collection EG59-85

1983 Greco Les Paul Mint Collection EG59-85

1983 Greco mint collection EG59-85, this is quite an unusual guitar in that it has fret binding, which was rare for a 1983 greco, one piece medium neck, fret binding, rosewood board, mahogony back (looks like one piece…I can’t find a join), veneer flametop, long tenon, well rated double trick pu's, nitro finish.

I had jumbo frets put in the guitar which are still like new and also added some NOS Russian PIO capacitors, otherwise as far as I know its all original. Comes with a hard case or gig bag. Whatever your preference.

The golden era for Japanese made guitars is around 1978 - 1985. Arguably the best period for Grecos was the Super Reals and the 82-84 Mint Collections.

This one a unique deep burst finish, high quality rosewood which resembles Brazilian, long tenon, no heel cap, great looking inlays, aged yellow binding.

It has some marks and small dings, to be expected in a 40 year old guitar that has been used. It has seen some rehearsal and stage time because it’s a nice playing and sounding Les Paul. Nothing that affects playability or the overall look of the guitar though. No extra charge for the natural relic job. 😊
