Gibson USA Joe Perry Signature Les Paul

The Joe Perry Signature Les Paul features a mahogany body and neck, flame maple top, black nickel hardware, a rosewood fretboard, pearloid scratch-late and truss rod cover, 57 Classic humbuckers and Grover machine heads 
The Gibson "Joe Perry" Signature Les Paul models were only made from ‘97-‘99
Beautiful figured maple top with signature print, mahogany back, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, with 57 Classic Plus pickups on the front and rear, control with 2Vol / Master Tone / Push-Pull mid boost. The mid-boost is a wah circuit, which in itself is fairly unusual, but gives you numerous different tone options. You can easily get that nasally cocked wah lead tone favoured by many rock guitarists over the years…or for that classic Money For Nothing tone.
The necks on these are thick 50's style, coupled with the solid mahogany and the 57 pickups, it has that classic raunchy Les Paul tone. Although the pickups clean up surprisingly well for a Humbucker.
Some bumps a bruises (but nothing major…) this one was a player not a show pony!  But importantly no neck breaks or repairs.
Weighs a bit as per usual…most non-weight relieved Les Pauls do! But it sounds great.

Just for clarity, this is the first year production BlackBurst model from 1997-1999; there was a Gibson Custom Shop version of the same guitar in 1996, with only 200 units ever being made. They have different headstock writing and binding. This is one of the production models, which had a slightly larger run although still pretty rare; hence you dont see them come up very often!
