PRS McCarty 594 Single Cut (year 2000 model…first year production for Singlecut)
I brought this in from the USA many years ago and this was one of my main gigging axes.
Typical PRS build quality. Great condition and no buckle rash on the back
Neck, top, sides and binding are all unblemished. To be totally transparent the points on top of the headstock have a small mark on them.
Looks fantastic. The top has 3D flame and also veins running through as well. I’ve tried to capture this in the pictures…Check the photos.
Upgrade Pigtail adjustable bridge for perfect intonation. Original PRS wraparound stop tailpiece is available if preferred
I swapped out the pickups years ago. Pickups are Dimarzio PAF Pro in the bridge and an Eric Johnson signature pickup in the neck. The PRS original pickups sounded fine but went for something a little different
50’s style bigger neck profile with abalone birds fret markers
It’s been set up with great action and playability
Comes in original PRS case which has some wear (and stickers) but perfectly functional
These retail in Australia now for around $7200 for current production models. This first year build was when PRS were trying to take it to Gibson and the build quality on these early models reflects this.
